DROPDOWNS, CARRYOVERS INTO SUPERREGIONALS, 1978-1997
CLASS 3A
R = Number of instances of a single dropdown into a superregional. C = Number of instances of a single carryover. In either or these two scenarios, one Class Superregional game is required: the dropdown or carryover vs. the winner of that Class Regional, winner to Class Semistate.
CC == two carryovers. RR = two dropdowns. RC = one dropdown and one carryover. In any one of these three scenarios, one Class Superregional game is required: the carryover or lower seeded dropdown vs. the winner of that Class Regional, winner to Class Semistate; the other carryover or dropdown advances to the Class Supersemistate as a carryover.
RRR = three dropdowns. RRC == two dropdowns, one carryover; RCC = one dropdown, two carryovers. CCC = three carryovers. In any one of these four scenarios, two Class Superregional games are required: one team vs. the winner of that Class Regional, winner to Class Semistate; the other two teams face eother, winner to Class Supersemistate as a carryover.
